Michelin star pop ups to open in Tivoli Gardens
All throughout summer, the iconic Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen will serve up Michelin star meals to their guests.
Danish two-star AOC will be the first one to take over Tivoli’s Japanese Tower from 1 June 2021. The place is among the classics on the new Nordic scene and has been operating under the name AOC since 2009. For the Tivoli pop up, they also plan to do a cocktail and wine bar and menu with smaller courses.
From the 9 July 2021, KOKS will take over from AOC. The two-Michelin star restaurant is normally located completely isolated in the rolling hills of the Faroe Islands, but now they will present their signature cooking to Tivoli’s guests. The menu is based on unique Faroese flavors and produce with a particular focus on fish and sea food.

The pop up restaurants will not the existing menus of the two restaurants, but instead a more simple and also affordable version making the fine dining available to an even wider audience. The pop ups can thereby be seen as the tendency for Danish top restaurants to make their dining more available through initiatives like Noma’s burger bar POPL and Amass Fried Chicken.
