Come and experience Maria Braun's exhibition "Crafted Contrasts".
Furniture designer Maria Bruun (1984) is well on her way to taking the world-renowned tradition of Danish design into the future.
Since graduating from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts Design School, Maria Bruun has worked with furniture, interiors and exhibitions.
Her designs show her deep connection to the Danish design tradition and her sincere respect for her predecessors, which she creates with her own distinctive and innovative approach in close dialogue with skilled craftsmen. Always working on the edge of art, Maria Bruun combines her iconic objects in spatial installations, creating microcosms that are much more than a collection of utilitarian furniture.
We are delighted that we were able to inspire Maria Bruun for an exhibition and that she will create a spatial installation especially for Umbrella, where all her major works will be shown together for the first time ever.
The exhibition is supported by the New Carlsberg Foundation.
The exhibition will be on display from the 1st of June - 10th of August every Saturday and Sunday from 14:00 - 18:00
