Summer concert in Ringkøbing Church: Jochen Brusch and Finn Elias Svit

Violinist Jochen Brusch and guitarist Finn Elias Svit visit Ringkøbing Church. The programme is a tribute to the Nordic summer mood with its bright nights and its sadness and longing for the all too short duration of summer. The music is by Fini Henriques, Carl Nielsen and H.C. Lumbye, among others. Lumbye and a festive and virtuoso violin sonata by Vivaldi.

The duo Jochen Brusch & Finn Svit Elias have performed at festivals, concerts and masterclasses in many European countries and the USA, in addition to concerts all over Denmark and many places in Germany.
The duo's school concerts - with more than 1000 concerts in Denmark - have thrilled thousands of children and young people all over Denmark and abroad. Among the enthusiasts was the world-famous violin legend Yehudi Menuhin, who has given the duo his warmest recommendations.

Jochen Brusch has given concerts in most European countries and repeatedly in the USA, including performances of Bach's complete violin works. He has recorded and released more than 100 works on CD and has received high praise from critics. Teaching commitments include courses, seminars, lectures at universities and other institutions. Jochen Brusch plays a violin modelled after Paganini's famous Guarneri by P. Greiner.

Finn Svit has given concerts in Denmark, Austria, Sweden, Bulgaria and Spain, Hungary, Germany and the USA, among others, and has served as a jury member at a number of international guitar competitions and has taught courses, seminars and given lectures at home and abroad. Finn Svit is the founder and chairman of the Aalborg International Guitar Festival and in 2001 he received the ‘Pakhusprisen’ and Skørping Municipality's cultural award for his work with school concerts. Today he also works as head of Mariagerfjord Cultural School.
