Oure Baptistkirke
Oure Baptist church is the oldest Baptist church in Denmark. It was consecrated 15th November 1857. The church is designed by the congregation’s first priest, Jens Andreas Petersen who was a joiner. The members of the congregation made great efforts in the building of the church. The church is a typical Baptist church. There is no altar, but behind the communion table is the open baptismal dip and behind it a big bare cross. That the cross is bare symbolises the Gospel preaching about a living saviour.
