Tadre Water Mill
Tadre Mill from around 1840 is one of the few water mills in Denmark still working as it was originally.
The history of the listed mill dates back to the 13th century. It is the last of 13 mills in the valley. The present grain mill is from approx. 1840.
A cabbage farm and medicinal herb garden have been established at Tadre Mill. There are beautiful walks around the mill lake and the meadows, where a limestone quarry has been opened - the only one in the country. You can explore the mill and lake, the medicinal and practical gardens, walk in the beautiful surroundings and enjoy a cup of coffee in the volunteer-run café.
There is also a lovely nature campsite on the site where you can book an overnight stay.
