Gæstgivergården in Den Gamle By
At Gæstgivergården, you can try dishes and cakes made from traditional Danish recipes. Try the open-faced sandwiches or a light lunch based on traditional Danish cuisine.
At Restaurant Gæstgivergården you can dine in different eras. The old parlours are decorated in the Arts and Crafts style from around 1900, Madam Blå is decorated with enamel objects from Glud & Marstrand, and in the Fireplace Room you enter a classic modern room from the 1950s. When the weather is nice, you can also choose to sit outside in the cosy and very beautiful patio.

Order a packed lunch
You can also order a packed lunch or meatballs to eat elsewhere in the Old Town, as long as you order it no later than the day before you pick it up. Or bring your own packed lunch and enjoy it at Madkassen in the 1927 neighbourhood.
Enjoy a fantastic Christmas meal
At Gæstgivergården, traditional Danish food is paramount, and at Christmas you can of course also sink your teeth into real Danish food!
