Dollerup Hills

Dollerup Bakker is a magnificent nature area in Central Jutland, 10 kilometres south of Viborg. The heather-clad hills are located by the village of Dollerup, and this is also where you'll find Hald Sø, one of Denmark's deepest lakes.

Dollerup Bakker lies on the edge of the ice margin that separates flat West Jutland from hilly East Jutland, which was formed around 17,000 years ago during the last ice age. There are therefore large differences in altitude in the area. The highest point in the area is 63 metres above sea level and from here there is a magnificent view of the southern and eastern parts of Hald Lake.

Dollerup Bakker is a great place to visit and ideal for hiking in the hilly landscape. Dollerup Ishus is also located in the area and there is ample parking in the car park on Ravnsbjergvej.
