Copenhagen Zoo opens panda habitat designed by Bjarke Ingels
Copenhagen Zoo joins only five other zoos in Europe to host great Chinese pandas. The new yin-yang shaped enclosure designed by Danish star architect Bjarke Ingels (BIG) offers multiple walkways.

Copenhagen Zoo also opens three new quality restaurants as part of an upgrade of their catering and conference offerings to coincide with the opening of the new panda habitat in April 2019. The three restaurants will be headed by executive chef Casper Sobczyk and consist of:

PanPan
An Asian-French bistro with a capacity for 140 guests in addition to a sizable terrace with a view to the elephants. -
Botanika
A café-restaurant with wild and whimsical vegetable-based dishes. Located in a greenhouse, the café will also serve desserts, pastries and coffees. -
FOLK
A folksy restaurant serving Danish open-faced sandwiches and classic fare with a modern twist.
