Våbensted Church
A middleage church built around 1200th century. Legend recounts that they first began to build the church on Borup Mark (field), but that which was built during the day was demolished at night. The church now stands on a mond beside the pond in Våbensted. It has a chancel and a nave in Romanesque style. The tower is from 1674; the south chapel is from the baroque period and in the northend, a modern porch, which has replaced an older one, is set up. The Romanesque church is exceedingly regularly built, and it is one of the neatest brick churches of our province.
In the altarpiece from the culmination of the Renaissance about 1620, you will find a signed painting by August Jerndorff: "Jesus raises Joiri`s daughter".
